Government Accountability Project

The Government Accountability Project?s mission is to protect the public interest by promoting government and corporate accountability through advancing occupational free speech and ethical conduct, defending whistleblowers, and empowering citizen activists. Founded in 1977, GAP is a non-profit, public interest organization that receives funding from foundations, individuals, and legal fees. GAP?s major program initiatives focus on both government and corporate accountability related to nuclear oversight, food and drug safety, worker health and safety, international reform and national security. We develop whistleblower laws and policy reform domestically and internationally. GAP also conducts an accredited legal clinic for law students, and offers an internship program that for undergraduates and law students year-round.
