New Reports from the U.K. House of Commons Library

This Standard Note sets out details of the major Freedom of Information (FoI) requests made to the House of Commons since the introduction of the right to make individual requests in January 2005. It also describes the actions taken by the House of Commons in response to the requests and subsequent decisions by the Information Commissioner, the Information Tribunal and the High Court.

This Standard Note gives a brief history of how the system of voting by members of the Armed Forces changed during the periods directly after each World War. It also gives details of recent changes to the legislation, including the provisions of the Electoral Administration Act 2006, and information about measures taken to increase the electoral registration of service personnel.

This note gives an overview of adult education provision and funding, including recent changes on provision.
